Our mission is to educate, empower, and provide top-quality haircare products that meet the unique needs of our diverse clientele. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaging intern to join our team as a Haircare Education Intern, with the potential for a full-time position based on performance.

Position Overview: As a Haircare Education Intern, you will be responsible for visiting local schools to educate students on proper haircare techniques and the benefits of using our products. You will deliver engaging presentations using PowerPoint, facilitate discussions, and provide hands-on demonstrations to help students understand and appreciate the importance of haircare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate visits to local schools to conduct haircare education sessions.
  • Develop and deliver informative and engaging PowerPoint presentations on haircare topics.
  • Educate students on proper haircare techniques, the benefits of using The Human Of Color Haircare products, and the importance of self-care.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical advice to students.
  • Answer questions and engage with students to create an interactive learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and education teams to develop educational materials and resources.
  • Collect feedback from students and educators to improve future presentations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image of The Human Of Color Haircare at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, Cosmetology, or a related field.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about haircare and knowledgeable about the unique needs of people of color.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and connect with students of various ages.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
  • Previous experience in education, public speaking, or cosmetology is a plus.
