Share
Today was an exciting and impactful day as our CEO, Tianna Thompson, visited North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District 622 to connect with students and share her journey in entrepreneurship. From the spark of an idea to building The Human of Color Haircare into a thriving brand, Tianna’s story resonated with the next generation of changemakers.
The energy in the room was electric as students listened attentively, eager to learn about the realities of business ownership, the challenges of bringing a vision to life, and the importance of perseverance. Tianna’s passion for entrepreneurship and community empowerment shone through as she spoke about the journey of The Human of Color Haircare—from an initial idea to a best-selling brand making waves in the beauty industry.
Beyond business, Tianna emphasized the power of representation, showing students that they, too, can turn their dreams into reality. She shared insights on brand-building, navigating challenges, and staying true to one’s mission. Students engaged deeply, asking thoughtful questions and showing a genuine curiosity about entrepreneurship and innovation. Their enthusiasm was inspiring—a testament to the bright future ahead.
At The Human of Color Haircare, community impact is at the heart of what we do. We believe in empowering and uplifting others, especially young minds who are shaping tomorrow. This opportunity to connect, inspire, and spark new ideas was invaluable, and we’re honored to be a part of it.
A huge thank you to District 622 for welcoming us with open arms and to the students for their curiosity, attentiveness, and drive. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs!
